All processing happens in your browser. No files are uploaded to any server. How to verify
PDFs often have unnecessary whitespace — wide margins, extra borders, scanner artifacts at the edges. Cropping them makes the document cleaner, smaller, and better-suited for e-readers or mobile viewing.
Pulsyr's PDF cropper applies a uniform crop to every page entirely in your browser. Your document stays on your device.
Why this is actually private
- ✓Cropping uses pdf-lib to update each page's crop box — no upload.
- ✓The modified PDF is generated locally and saved to your downloads folder.
- ✓Works offline after the page has loaded.
- ✓Verifiable: open DevTools → Network → crop a file → see zero requests.
Cmd+Option+I on Mac, F12 on Windows), go to the Network tab, then use the tool above. You'll see zero network requests during the conversion. Most online tools can't make this claim because they upload your file to do the work. How to use
- 1Drop your PDF into the upload area.
- 2Use the slider to set how much margin you want to crop (in PDF points — 72 points = 1 inch).
- 3Click Crop PDF. A cropped version is generated locally.
- 4Download the cropped file.

Frequently asked questions
How does the crop work?▼
The cropper sets a new crop box on every page, trimming an equal margin from all four sides. The underlying content is unchanged — every PDF viewer will display only the cropped area.
What does 'PDF points' mean?▼
PDF points are the standard unit PDFs use. 72 points equals 1 inch, so a 36-point crop removes half an inch from each side.
Can I crop each page differently?▼
The current tool applies a uniform crop to all pages. For per-page cropping, you'd typically use a desktop PDF editor.
Is my PDF uploaded?▼
No. Cropping happens in your browser via pdf-lib. Nothing is sent to any server.
